From desert summits to botanical gardens and open-air shopping, the Camelback Corridor packs a lot into a small radius.
Camelback Mountain is Phoenix's calling card, and from the Biltmore you're right next door. The Cholla Trailhead on the mountain's east side offers a challenging, scenic climb with a panoramic payoff over the whole Valley. Go early — then come back down and let us handle lunch. Our lunch menu of small plates and wood-grilled dishes is built for exactly that kind of appetite.
Just minutes away, the Phoenix Mountains Preserve gives you quick access to rugged, skyline-framed desert trails. Piestewa Peak is the neighborhood favorite for a solid workout with a big-reward view at the top.
A short drive east in Papago Park, the Desert Botanical Garden showcases more than 50,000 plants from the world's deserts along paved, thematic trails. It's especially lovely in the cooler evening hours — a perfect prelude to a table at Central Bistro.
Less than a mile from our door, the open-air Biltmore Fashion Park brings together luxury retailers like Ralph Lauren and Saks Fifth Avenue alongside dozens of smaller boutiques, set among gardens and fountains. It's the easiest stroll-and-shop in the neighborhood before dinner and cocktails.
Perched on a hill overlooking the Arizona Biltmore, the Wrigley Mansion was built in 1932 and offers some of the most dramatic views in Phoenix. It's a landmark worth the short trip up the hill.
Central Bistro is at 3160 E. Camelback Road, in the heart of the Camelback Corridor. Reservations are recommended for dinner and weekend brunch.
